This casebook contains cases, notes, materials, and other examples regarding evidence and its general rules. Evidence is one of those subjects that combines black letter law with theory. This text provides factual cases and examples of specific, and interesting situations in which evidence can or may be introduced. This text is ideal for any law student or person wishing to broaden their knowledge on the rules of evidence. This text also contains the California Evidence Code and The Federal Rules of Evidence in the back. Even though this is yet again another expensive and possibly over-priced textbook, the cases and information inside is truly helpful.

I’m not sure "love it" is the right description for a case book; however, this book was well packaged, well delivered, and as described. The book itself really is a great book for an evidence class.

I didn’t choose to buy this book, rather it was required for my Evidence course. I would seriously recommend buying the reading companion from the publisher, the book does not do a great job of explaining the basics of the rules. For instance the section of Character evidence gives a lot of information about how Character evidence has been interpreted in modern law, however there is little simple explanation of what Character Evidence is in minimal detail. In other words the book dives deep into the nitty gritty of subject matter w/o giving the reader a basic understanding of what they have just jumped into. If you made it his far through my review, I hope you have found it helpful.
